Mission

The mission of the Club shall be to preserve, enrich and increase the natural beauty of the New York City environment for the public benefit through education, horticulture, conservation, and other related undertakings.

GOALS

The Club’s programs are designed to foster an appreciation of nature, especially among young people, and to encourage the creation, restoration and preservation of green spaces throughout New York City. To accomplish these goals, the Club’s outreach committees, run by member-volunteers, offer grants, scholarships, educational materials and conservation programs.  Founded in 1918, The City Gardens Club of New York City is nonprofit and tax-exempt, organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
